The presence of His Majesty King Mswati III and Her Majesty the Indlovukazi at the official opening of the 58th edition of the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) has been described as a powerful affirmation of the importance the Throne places on entrepreneurship, investment, innovation and the growth of the country’s productive economic sectors.

This was disclosed by the acting Prime Minister (PM) Thuli Dladla, during the official opening of EITF at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre yesterday.

In her address, the PM expressed her sincere appreciation to exhibitors, whose hard work, innovation and passion, she said, had played a central role in making the trade fair a memorable occasion.

She emphasised that the EITF was fundamentally about the exhibitors and their growth, providing them with a platform to showcase their products, services and innovations while contributing to the growth of the national economy.

Dladla also acknowledged the thousands of visitors who have descended on the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre to take part in the country’s premier trade and business exhibition.

She said the overwhelming attendance reflected the continued significance of the EITF as a platform for business, investment, networking and economic development.

The acting PM further expressed the nation’s gratitude to His Majesty for his unwavering commitment to national development and the guidance he continues to provide in inspiring Emaswati to work collectively towards the attainment of the country’s development aspirations.

“Your presence and that of Her Majesty the Indlovukazi at this EITF is itself a powerful affirmation of the importance that the Throne attaches to entrepreneurship, investment, innovation and the growth of the productive sectors of the country’s economy,” she said.

Dladla described His Majesty as a visionary leader whose leadership continues to guide the kingdom’s transformation.

She further hailed the king as a champion of peace, economic diplomacy and sustainable national development, as well as a principal guardian of the aspirations of Emaswati.

She said His Majesty’s leadership and vision continued to inspire the nation to pursue inclusive economic growth, innovation and sustainable development.
