Hhohho South has secured 11 spots in the Inyatsi Schools Arts and Culture national finals following an energetic regional elimination at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground.

Hhohho South secured 11 schools for the national finals of the Inyatsi Schools Arts and Culture Competition after an exciting regional elimination held at Prince of Wales Sports Ground on Thursday.

Learners impressed judges and spectators with energetic performances in Sibhaca, Ummiso and Drum Majorettes, competing in categories such as Military, Street Drill, African Dance, Cheer Girls and Kwaito. The event attracted large crowds, with celebrations breaking out as successful schools booked places in the finals scheduled for July 2 at Somhlolo National Stadium.

Ekuvinjelweni High School won the Ummiso category with 86.8 per cent, while Siphocosini High School topped Sibhaca with 89 per cent. Somnjalose High School dominated the Drum Majorettes competition after scoring an impressive 97.2 per cent.

The competition continues to enjoy support from Inyatsi Group Holdings, Eswatini Mobile, Eswatini Financial Times, Embiveni and Times of Eswatini.

Learners described the competition as a valuable opportunity to showcase their talent and gain experience. Eswatini Schools Drum Majorettes Association Chairperson Lungile Khumalo praised the initiative, saying it continues to build learners’ confidence while exposing hidden talent from different regions across the country.
