Senate President Lindiwe Dlamini has hailed His Majesty King Mswati III and Inkhosikati LaMatsebula for raising Prince Sicalo.
She described him as a compassionate leader whose commitment to community development continues to transform lives across the country.
Speaking during the Sigwe Sports Day, Dlamini said Prince Sicalo’s continued support for communities through the Sicalo Foundation reflected the values instilled in him.
“We thank His Majesty and Inkhosikati LaMatsebula for giving the nation a prince who has a generous heart and genuinely loves Emaswati,” she said.
Dlamini praised the prince for supporting development initiatives beyond Sigwe, noting that only a week earlier he had donated to communities in Mayiwane before returning to Sigwe to support another community programme.
She said Prince Sicalo was no stranger to Sigwe, having visited the area on several occasions to assist residents through the Sicalo Foundation.
She also commended Sigwe Member of Parliament David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala for bringing together government institutions, private companies and development partners to improve the lives of Sigwe constituents.
She said the attendance of senior government officials, corporate partners and stakeholders at the sports day demonstrated confidence in Ngcamphalala’s leadership.
The prince said Sigwe had undergone remarkable transformation since Ngcamphalala was elected to Parliament.
Prince Sicalo said the foundation had not visited the area for some time because of other commitments, but noted that he had first visited Sigwe before Ngcamphalala became MP.
He said the difference in the constituency’s development since then was evident.
“When we first came here, the situation was different. Since the people elected Ngcamphalala to Parliament, we have witnessed significant development in Sigwe especially in Ndunayithini,” he said.
He encouraged residents to continue supporting their MP, saying unity would enable him to attract more development partners and sponsors to the constituency.
“Continue supporting him so that he can continue bringing sponsors who will help improve the lives of the people and fight poverty in this area,” Prince Sicalo said.
The prince also commended Ngcamphalala for his generosity and commitment to serving the community, saying he consistently put the interests of the people first.
He explained that partnerships such as the one between the Sicalo Foundation and the MP were built over time through trust and commitment.
“Relationships like these are not built overnight. They take time to establish and maintain and today we are here to demonstrate that our partnership with him remains strong,” he said.
