THERE was drama in court when an accused person roared like an enraged bull inside the courtroom shortly after he was ordered to enter the accused box, leading to others running helter-skelter in confusion.

For all this time, Sizwe Mankwempane Ndlangamandla remained quiet like the other suspects brought to court for remand. It was when he was called into the accused box that hell broke loose, as he started jumping and roaring in a loud voice while making unclear utterances.

It was total chaos and confusion at Courtroom Number Four when Ndlangamandla roared, with no one aware of what had got into him. Court officials and those in the gallery were unsure what suddenly turned him wild.

Police officers, noticing his strange conduct, grabbed him and pulled him outside the courtroom. He had to be handcuffed with his hands at the back.

A police van later arrived and drove away with him.

It is understood that, given his conduct, he needed his mind evaluated, an arrangement police officers were expected to see through.

Ndlangamandla, who could not take the accused box, had been brought to court facing assault-related charges. It was established that he is closely related to a certain politician.
