AWAZA, TURKMENISTAN – His Majesty King Mswati iii closed his visit to Turkmenistan by attending Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan National Days Exhibitions and Concert at the Amphi Theatre last evening.


The king was in Turkmenistan to attend the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLCDS) having arrived on Sunday.
The exhibition for all Central Asian countries has been ongoing alongside the UN conference.

His Majesty was accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMotsa, Emazinyane and four cabinet ministers; Pholile Shakantu, Chief Ndlaluhlaza, Manqoba Khumalo and Savannah Maziya. Others were Chief Ndingi Zacharia, Prince Mlayeto, Princess Nqobile, King’s Office Chief Officer Mgwagwa Gamedze, Mbongeni Simelane and the country’s Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Thami Dlamini. Turkmenistan deputy Prime Minister responsible for Trade, Businesses and Banking Nokerguly Atagylyyev received and took His Majesty around the exhibition stalls where he was shown various artefacts, cuisines and dances.

In one of the Turkmenistan stalls, the king was adorned with Turkmen attire. His Majesty closed his exhibition visit by having dinner in a traditional Turkmen hut, resembling a thatched round hut, (guca). The king and his entourage briefly attended the evening concert by various artists from across the five Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan.
