From the very start, attendees bopped their heads and swayed to the infectious beats that filled the room. The event’s mood was expertly set by DJ Expo, who kicked off with a smooth, deep house vibe that quickly brought the crowd to life. Following her was The Bishop and Tibza, each adding their flavour and energy, steadily building anticipation for the evening’s headliners.
Jimpster, real name Jamie Odell, is a highly respected figure in the global house music scene, known for his authentic sound that has shaped deep house since the late 1990s. His set captivated the audience, who were locked in, attentive and enjoying with every track. The intimate setting made the experience feel special, as fans connected deeply with a true legend of the genre.

Main performing DJ and crowd favourite Jimpster took the audience on a musical journey on Sunday night at the Unleash The Wolf (UTW) event held at Oryx Restaurant and Lounge.
Joining the line-up was !Sooks, the event’s curator and a celebrated electronic music producer famed for his deep and afro house productions. His performance was a heartfelt journey through rhythms that celebrated both heritage and innovation and the crowd’s enthusiastic head-bopping and dancing showed their genuine connection to his music and the UTW vision.
The event closed out with Ndumz, who delivered a powerful finale that left the crowd energised and eager for more.
Reflecting on the night, !Sooks said, “Overall, I think the event went really well. The energy in the room felt right from early on and people came with genuine excitement for the music. The crowd was engaged, the sets flowed nicely and the atmosphere felt like what UTW is supposed to represent. This was just the beginning. We plan to keep building on this formula and bring in more respected international names who align with the UTW vision.”
The turnout of the event was good. First and second phase tickets to the event sold out and entrance to the event on the night was E250.
As house heads booed their heads and lost themselves in the music, UTW proved it is a beacon for quality, soulful house experiences – a night to remember and a promise of even greater events to come.
