Mbabane Police have launched an intensive manhunt for 40-year-old Thulani Ginindza, originally from Magubheleni but residing in Motshane, following the brutal murder of his 30-year-old wife earlier today.
According to the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS), the gruesome murder happened at about 0700 hours. The investigation reveals a chilling timeline of events starting on New Year’s Eve, when Ginindza traveled from his workplace at Mbeka in Mankayane back to his home in Motshane.
He reportedly arrived and entered the house undetected, only being discovered by his children the following morning. When the children asked where their mother was, he claimed not to know, as she had been away from the residence since Wednesday afternoon.

In an effort to keep the children occupied this morning around 07:00 hours, Ginindza took them to a nearby forest to collect firewood. Shortly after they returned to the homestead, the wife appeared and went inside the family house. The suspect followed her in, and almost immediately, a violent argument broke out.
The children described hearing their mother’s desperate screams for help. Sensing the immediate danger, one of the children ran to a local spaza shop to raise an alarm and call for assistance from the community.

Tragically, the intervention came too late. By the time community members arrived at the house, the suspect had already fled the scene. They discovered the woman’s body with more than sixteen stab wounds, marking a gruesome end to the domestic dispute.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) is treating the matter with high urgency and appeals to the public to provide any information that could lead to Ginindza’s arrest. They emphasise that public cooperation is crucial in ensuring that the suspect, who is considered a person of interest in this heinous murder, is brought to justice.
