A special gift presentation saw Oscar Mbo receive personalised cultural items, umhelwane and ligcebesha, as a token of appreciation from Carrot Tickets.
The special gifts were inspired by Oscar Mbo’s popular Have A Groovey Day (HAGD) brand. Carrot Tickets Public Relations Manager Natalie Smith explained that the organisation wanted to give the award-winning DJ something meaningful and unique that reflects his personal brand and connection with the kingdom.
Smith noted that the gifts were carefully customised with his logo to make them memorable keepsakes.
“This was our way of showing him love and appreciation. We wanted to give him something personal that he can treasure because he has made a huge impact in the entertainment industry and has always shown love to the kingdom,” she said.
The gesture also served as a message that the kingdom continues to support and appreciate the South African star, who has built a strong local fan base through his frequent performances in the country.
Oscar Mbo expressed gratitude for the warm reception, admitting that the gifts came as a pleasant surprise. The DJ described the initiative as special because it went beyond ordinary gifts and reflected the thought and effort of the organisers.
“I did not expect something like this. Having gifts personalised with my brand means a lot because it shows genuine love and support,” he stated.
He further highlighted that receiving customised items linked to the HAGD brand made the moment even more memorable. He added that such gestures strengthen his connection with the kingdom and remind him of the support he continues to receive from fans in the country.
