SOUTH African artists SinoMsolo and Russell Zuma have been announced as some of the acts for the inaugural Simunye Fest, set to take place at Vuvulane Sports Ground from October 23 to 25.
The two artists are the latest names added to the festival’s growing entertainment offering, with organisers promising to announce more acts for the three-day experience combining music, culture, lifestyle and interactive activities.
SinoMsolo, known for his distinctive voice and contributions to the South African music scene, will join Russell Zuma as one of the main attractions at the festival.
Their inclusion adds to the growing anticipation around the first edition of the event, which organisers say is designed to bring together audiences through music, creativity and shared experiences.
The festival will also feature a special Simunye and Friends segment, which aims to create opportunities for fans to interact more closely with personalities and artists beyond performances on stage.
Big Brother South Africa star Liema Pantsi has already been announced as part of the segment and is expected to spend three days in the country during the festival.
Organisers said her participation would include interactive activities and opportunities for fans to connect with her, adding another dimension to the festival’s entertainment offering.
The announcements come as Simunye Fest continues with its buildup activities ahead of the October event.
Last month the festival gave away more than 10 tickets to residents in the Lubombo region as part of its community activations. The activations have so far reached Simunye and Buhleni.
Simunye Fest Organising Committee member Msutfu Masilela thanked residents for supporting the festival from its early stages.

“Thank you for the love, support and for believing in this festival from the beginning. Before the big conversations, before the growth, before everything Simunye Fest has become, you were there,” said Masilela.
The festival will continue its roadshow activation on Friday at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, where activities will run from 11am to 3pm.
Masilela said the organisers planned to sell tickets on site while engaging with students through music, entertainment and other festival experiences.
The festival was officially launched at Happy Valley Hotel, where organisers revealed that the event would feature 12 interconnected experience zones across its 7.85-hectare site.
These include the main stage, Nomad Valley camping, Impact Hub, Creator and Influencer Hub, Fashion and Lifestyle Zone, carnival games, family zone, tourism and cultural experiences as well as networking and VIP experiences.
The festival is expected to attract more than 5 000 people and will be held under the theme ‘One People. One Rhythm. One Moment’.
Organisers have also positioned the event as more than a music festival, highlighting entrepreneurship, tourism, culture and community development as key elements.
Planned initiatives include a men’s mental wellness programme, a charity drive in partnership with the Vuvulane Town Board and a STEM education programme at Vuvulane Primary School.
With Sino Msolo and Russell Zuma now joining the line-up, organisers are building towards a first edition centred on music, culture, connection and community.
