Eswatini Mobile continues to bring smiles to communities through its Eswatini Mobile Cares campaign.

Last Friday, the company fed over 150 children at the Msunduza Care Point in Mbabane.

The heart-warming event saw children receiving warm meals through the Eswatini Mobile Cares Programme, a corporate social investment (CSI) initiative by the telecommunications company. The initiative is aimed at giving back to the community and addressing the needs of vulnerable groups across the country.

During the event, the Eswatini Mobile team served hot meals to the children, bringing smiles and excitement to the care point.

Eswatini Mobile is one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, providing affordable data and communication solutions.

As the organisation continues to grow and expand its services, it remains committed to supporting the communities that have contributed to its success.

Speaking at the Msunduza Care Point on Friday, Eswatini Mobile Chief Executive Officer Sydney Sichula, who joined staff members during the outreach programme, said:

“As an organisation, we aim to do more to empower young people and connect with communities, not just through data, but through human interaction.”

The CEO emphasised that the Eswatini Mobile Cares Programme reflects the company’s belief that business growth must go hand in hand with meaningful community engagement and upliftment.

The children at the centre have either lost one or both parents.

The outreach programme also attracted representatives from the deputy prime minister’s (DPM’s) office, demonstrating collaborative efforts between government and the private sector in addressing social challenges.

Through the Eswatini Mobile Cares Programme, the CEO and his team demonstrated that the brand’s commitment extends well beyond connectivity.

The initiative forms part of a growing list of community support activities undertaken by the telecommunications firm as part of its CSI strategy.

In recent months, the company has supported vulnerable learners through donations such as school shoes for pupils in need, highlighting the importance of education and dignity for young people.

Eswatini Mobile has also previously distributed food parcels and clothing to struggling families in rural communities and supported small-scale vendors and entrepreneurs who play a vital role in the country’s informal economy.

These CSI initiatives reflect the company’s vision of being an affordable network that genuinely cares about the communities it serves.

As the children at the Msunduza Care Point enjoyed their meals, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and gratitude, reinforcing the positive impact that corporate social initiatives can have on communities.

Through the Eswatini Mobile Cares campaign, the company continues to demonstrate that, while its core business is connecting people through technology, its mission also includes uplifting lives and caring for the most vulnerable members of society.

The outreach ended with smiles from the children and a renewed commitment from the company to expand the programme and reach more communities across the country.
