Prime Minister Russell Dlamini has called for a renewed sense of patriotism and national unity, saying that the economic and social transformation of the Kingdom lies solely in the hands of its people.

Delivering Government’s End of Year message at Cabinet, the Prime Minister emphasised that while international partnerships are valuable, true development cannot be imported or gifted from abroad.

Reflecting on the past year, the Prime Minister noted that a good foundation had been laid for the nation’s future.

However, he stressed that the next phase of Eswatini’s evolution requires a collective internal effort.

“Only emaSwati can develop themselves. There is no country that has ever been developed out of aid alone. No nation can liberate and develop itself without being patriotic,” said Dlamini.

He urged citizens to support their own.

Addressing the barriers to progress, the Prime Minister was blunt regarding the sludge of corruption that continues to affect all arms of government.

He reaffirmed that the administration would not relax its stance against graft.

As the nation prepares for the sacred Incwala ceremony and the transition into a new year, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes to His Majesty King Mswati III, the Queen Mother, and the entire nation.

He concluded his remarks with a vision of hope, wishing emaSwati a successful 2026 and calling for a spirit of harmony as the country pursues its development goals.
