THIS weekend, the country is officially under musical siege as MTN Bushfire turns House On Fire into a three-day sonic battlefield where sleep, savings and self-control are non-existent.
From today to Sunday, every stage is packed with chaos-level talent, pure vibes and zero intention of letting anyone go home early.
The main stage is basically a spiritual experience gone rogue, with Uncle Waffles, Moonchild Sanelly, Young Stunna, Kokoroko, Msaki and Jesse Clegg and Kabelo Mabalane all sharing one mission: to make sure your voice is gone by Monday and your dignity is optional.
Over at the Corona Firefly Stage, amapiano is being served like hot sauce on everything, with Shakes & Les, Thakzin, Artwork Sounds and Coco SA turning sunset into a full emotional breakdown with bass.
The amphitheatre stage? That’s where music goes to graduate with honours in ‘chills and goosebumps’, while the Bring Your Fire Zone Stage is basically art, dance and creativity having a group chat in real life.
And just when you think you can recover, Sbu De Drum DJ calls DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small for back-up like it’s musical Avengers: Endgame. Sunday tries to behave, but Foreign Xchange and Morda Live Experience said ‘behave who?’
By Monday, your legs will be tired, your phone storage will be full and your body will be negotiating with your soul for a recovery plan.

Today’s line-up features performances from Bubbles B2B DJ Bob, Mantenga Cultural Village Dance Group, Summer Pearl, Tamika, Lindigo with Anna Sato, Buhle Mbongwa, Uncle Waffles, Wicked and Moonchild Sanelly.
Tomorrow the energy keeps going with performances from Fela Kuru, iYA featuring Itallo and Zwile, Ohpis, Selimo Thabane, Salym Fayad, Booshle G, Zviko Dryad, Kokoroko, Iamiswas, The Busi Mhlongo Tribute featuring Xolisa Dlamini and Buhlebendalo, Bubbles, Sibu Manzini Project, Uncle Karly, Young Stunna and !Sooks.
The festival closes on Sunday with performances by Zviko Dryad, Velemseni, This Is Odd, Ndlovu Youth Choir, DJ Bob, Jupiter and Okwess, Uncle Karly, Msaki and Jesse Clegg and Bubbles, before Kabelo Mabalane wraps up the main stage experience.
