A 33-year-old woman of Mbutfwa is recovering in hospital after being shot three times during a violent armed robbery at Mabovini in Mankayane.
The incident occurred on Monday night at approximately 7:30pm.
According to reliable sources, the woman was returning home from work when she was ambushed by three unidentified men, reportedly armed with a pistol.
During the attack, the assailants shot her three times — twice in the left thigh and once in the stomach — before robbing her of E60.
She was rushed to hospital following the incident and is currently receiving medical treatment.
In a separate incident, another 33-year-old woman from Mhlatane was attacked on Sunday at around 6:50pm.
She was robbed of her mobile phone and cash valued at E150 by three unknown men, also said to have been armed with a firearm.
Police suspect the same group of suspects may be linked to both attacks, although investigations are still ongoing.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Acting Chief Police Information and Communications Officer, Nosipho Mnguni, confirmed both incidents.

She stated that Mankayane police are currently investigating cases of attempted murder and robbery stemming from the Mabovini shooting.
Mnguni added that police are actively searching for three suspects believed to be responsible for the attacks, including the robbery in which a woman was dispossessed of her phone and cash.
Police have appealed to members of the public for assistance.
