The capital city will erupt in laughter as the much-anticipated Last Saturday Gags returns for its second edition on June 28 at Molly’s House of Grills in Mbabane.
Hosted by none other than Cedric Simelane, this month’s show promises to deliver fresh jokes, electric energy and a few surprise moments that will keep audiences talking after the final punchline.
Joining Cedric on stage is a stellar lineup of Eswatini’s finest comedic talents, including the ever popular Mdura, Dr Shakes, and Mcola.
These names need no introduction, each known for their unique styles, quick wit and hilarious takes on everyday life in the kingdom.
Speaking ahead of the show, Cedric gave a glimpse into what fans can expect, he explained that the vibe they were aiming for was fun, easygoing and full of laughter.
“We want people to come out, relax and just have a good time.
Last Saturday Gags is all about creating an intimate comedy experience where the audience feels connected to the performers and leaves with big smiles and even bigger laughs,” he said.
Cedric highlighted that following the overwhelming success of the previous show, expectations are sky high.
“The response was honestly overwhelming in the best way, the crowd showed up in numbers, the energy was right and the comics delivered top-tier performances. That success pushed us to start promoting earlier this time so people had time to plan,”said the comedian.
He explained that the decision to move this edition to a Saturday was intentional, giving fans with Friday work commitments the opportunity to unwind and enjoy a full night of entertainment.
While Cedric kept some surprises under wraps, he did tease that a completely new lineup of comedians and brand-new material will keep things fresh and unexpected.
“while I won’t give too much away, this show will be bigger and better than the last, if you missed the first one, this is your chance to catch the magic and if you came last time, expect to laugh even harder,” he said.
