Local supporters who are unable to travel to watch Sihlangu Semnikati in the prestigious COSAFA tournament, will have the opportunity to enjoy the national team’s matches from the comfort of their homes.
This is after SuperSport confirmed live broadcast of this year’s edition.
The renowned television station announced the final official broadcast schedule on Tuesday evening for the much-anticipated tournament.
The competition is currently underway in Bloemfontein, Mangaung, Free State in South Africa, having kicked off yesterday.
Sihlangu face Madagascar on Monday, followed by a crucial encounter against Tanzania on the 11th, according to the official fixture.
The outcome of these matches will be pivotal in determining whether the team progresses or bows out.
The travelling squad features two internationals – Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze and pacey Msunduza-born forward Justice Figareido.
However, Jwaneng Galaxy star Mxolisi ‘Kudus’ Mkhonto has been ruled out, along with his compatriot, reliable ZESCO United defender Lindo Mkhonta.
Also omitted from the squad are Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu and seasoned Nsingizini Hotspurs goalkeeper Khanyakweze Shabalala.
Uncertainty surrounds the national team’s coaching situation, as current head coach Zdravko Logarusic was reportedly unveiled by Saudi Arabian side Al-Tai.
Surprisingly, the coach remains in charge of the squad and has reaffirmed his commitment to lead the national team.
