Government has announced the arrival of 11 Third Country Nationals (TCNs) from the United States of America under an existing bilateral arrangement between the two countries.

In a press statement, Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli said this was the fourth group to arrive in the Kingdom under the agreement.

Government said the fundamental rights of the TCNs, who are predominantly from African countries, would be respected and protected during their temporary stay in Eswatini, in accordance with the country’s laws and international obligations.

The statement further assured Emaswati that appropriate measures had been put in place to safeguard the security and well-being of the Kingdom and its people while the TCNs are in the country.

Government reiterated that Eswatini remained a responsible member of the international community and would continue to honour its bilateral and international commitments in a manner that upholds the country’s sovereignty, respects national laws and reflects its longstanding humanitarian values.

The latest arrivals bring the total number of Third Country Nationals received from the United States under the bilateral arrangement to 29.
