THE Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation (ESRIC) is mourning the loss of three employees who died in the road accident on Monday.
In a statement issued yesterday afternoon, ESRIC management confirmed that the three employees were based at the corporation’s Nhlangano Branch. A fourth ESRIC employee sustained injuries in the accident and is receiving medical care.
“ESRIC is deeply saddened by the loss of three colleagues in a road accident on the 21st September 2026,” the corporation said.
The accident occurred along the Nhlangano-Manzini public road near Single Tree and claimed six lives, including the three ESRIC employees.
ESRIC extended its condolences to the bereaved families, loved ones and colleagues of the deceased. The corporation described the three employees as valued members of the ESRIC family whose service, dedication and contributions had touched many lives.
“Their loss leaves a profound void in our corporation,” said the management.
Management said the corporation was engaging with and supporting the affected families and colleagues following the tragedy.
“We pray that God grants strength and comfort to all who are grieving and healing,” reads the statement.
Nhlangano Branch remains closed
THE insurance company’s Nhlangano Branch remains closed following the death of three of its employees in the fatal road accident near Single Tree.
ESRIC initially announced that the branch would remain closed for the remainder of the week, before subsequently advising that it would remain closed until further notice.
“Please be advised that the Nhlangano Branch will remain closed until further notice,” ESRIC management said in an official statement.
The corporation said customers and stakeholders would be informed of alternative service arrangements through its official communication channels.
In its initial closure notice, ESRIC apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused and directed clients to its Mbabane and Manzini branches for services.
The closure comes after three ESRIC employees based at the Nhlangano Branch died in the accident. A fourth employee sustained injuries and is receiving medical treatment.
News of the deaths also prompted an outpouring of condolences on ESRIC’s Facebook page, with social media users expressing sympathy for the families and colleagues of the deceased. Some users described the deaths as a painful loss for the corporation, while others offered prayers and condolences to the bereaved families.
“May their souls rest in peace. Condolences to the families and ESRIC,” one Facebook user commented.
Another wrote, “Our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and colleagues. May God give you strength during this difficult time.”
