SIKHUPHEHIS Majesty Mswati III has jetted out of the country to attend the 11th Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States Summit in Equatorial Guinea.

His Majesty is accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMbikiza.

The summit will focus on ‘a transformed and renewed OACPS in a changing world’, bringing together heads of state to discuss global partnership, sustainable development and regional issues.

It will also feature thematic forums on Youth, Gender and Small Island Developing States. The OACPS aims to achieve sustainable development, eradicate poverty and foster the gradual integration of its 79 member states into the global economy.

The kingdom, under the stewardship of the king, has been credited with revitalising the OACPS during a critical period, moving away from purely symbolic leadership to active, substantive engagement.

His Majesty was named the OACPS Champion for Resource Mobilisation, a vital role intended to enhance the organisation’s financial sustainability and support the implementation of the Samoa Agreement.

His leadership focused on empowering the OACPS to foster economic resilience, youth empowerment, and digital transformation across the member states. While Eswatini officially handed over the chairmanship of the OACPS Council of Ministers to the Solomon Islands in December 2025, the kingdom maintained a key, active role within the organisation through the king’s ongoing work as the resource mobilisation champion.

His delegation includes high-ranking government officials who will be taking part in the summit. The summit will be concluded on Sunday.
