The Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving digital connectivity and customer experience with the launch of the ‘Connecta Manje’ broadband promotion and the ‘Shop Without Borders’ e-commerce promotion.
EPTC Managing Director Thulani Fakudze said the two campaigns reflected the direction the corporation was taking as a business, positioning itself as a more innovative, customer-focused and digitally enabled entity.
He said the corporation wanted customers to enjoy minimum internet speed of about 25 megabits per second (Mbps), which would provide smoother and more reliable connectivity experiences. Fakudze added that more developments aimed at improving customer experience were in the pipeline.
“Today, we are renewing our commitment to serve our customers better, not only through the network we are building but also through the processes we use, the systems we have and everyday services that change their experiences,” said Fakudze.
He said EPTC’s role had evolved beyond providing telecommunications and postal services to enabling communication, supporting businesses, connecting communities and contributing to the country’s development.
“Our focus is leveraging infrastructure investments to create meaningful value for customers,” Fakudze said.
He stated that connectivity was no longer a luxury but a necessity and a gateway to education, entrepreneurship, digital services and economic participation.
It was for this reason, he said, EPTC was on an aggressive journey to rebuild its network and invest in high-speed, fibre-based infrastructure. The corporation’s objective was to connect more households, businesses, corporations and government institutions while building a stronger digital foundation for Eswatini.
The managing director said they looked forward to more locals experiencing the benefits of reliable, high-speed connectivity at affordable rates. Fakudze reiterated that the promotion demonstrated EPTC’s commitment to making digital opportunities more accessible to the nation.
He emphasised EPTC would continue investing in infrastructure, technology and service improvements, with its focus remaining on delivering reliable, convenient and customer-centred solutions.

…Opens reliable online shopping platform
from anywhere in the world and have their purchases delivered to their doorsteps, thanks to a new e-commerce initiative introduced by Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC).
Explaining the newly launched ‘Shop Without Borders’ e-commerce promotion, EPTC Chief Marketing Officer Khulile Dlamini said customers would be provided with a reliable delivery address in Johannesburg, South Africa, to facilitate their international online purchases.
Dlamini said under the promotion, customers who paid for their first two deliveries would receive the third delivery free of charge.
The promotion runs from today until the end of January. He explained that customers could use the provided address when shopping online from anywhere in the world, conveniently making purchases from the comfort of their homes before having the items delivered to their doorsteps.
The purchased items are received at the EPTC warehouse in South Africa, where Phutfumani collects them and arranges delivery to the addresses specified by customers.
To access the service, customers can download the ‘Ship-Hustle’ application and shop from various online retailers, including Game, Makro, Alibaba.com, Dis-Chem, SHEIN and Takealot.com, among others. Dlamini clarified that e-commerce was not limited to online shopping, as the service could also benefit people who travelled abroad and purchase items they wanted delivered to Eswatini.
“You can pay for the items and request that they be delivered to the address provided. Phutfumani will then deliver them to your doorstep,” Dlamini said.
Meanwhile, the ‘Connecta Manje’ broadband promotion also commences today and will run until the end of January. Dlamini said customers who connected during the promotional period would receive three months of free subscriptions. He explained that the offer applied to customers within the fibre network coverage area and was not available for wireless or copper connections.
The promotion also covered customers subscribing to the Home Basic Uncapped package. For post-paid applications, customers would not be required to pay installation or modem fees upfront. Under the prepaid option, installation would be free, with customers only required to purchase a modem.
