FORMER Mbabane Highlanders AMFC head coach Floyd ‘Mourinho’ Mogale has made a startling revelation about a senior club official he claims played a role in his departure.

He said club President Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize was surrounded by the wrong people who were determined to undermine her project.

Breaking his silence following his exit, Mogale said he enjoyed a good working relationship with the players, technical team and Mkhize, whom he described as an iconic global brand.

However, he alleged that one senior official was responsible for creating a toxic environment within the club.

Speaking about MaMkhize, he described her as an iconic global brand and praised the ‘Black Bull’ supporters for their passion for the team and its players.

“However, there is one bad element within the club, a certain senior official. He brings negative energy to the entire technical team and the players. The president deserves better people around her,” he said.

Asked about allegations that he had lost the dressing room, Mogale dismissed the claims as false, insisting that he maintained a strong bond with his players until his departure.

“It was a made-up story about me losing the dressing room, aimed at discrediting me in the eyes of the supporters. I knew it was a set-up. I had a good working relationship with my players. Some of them even cried when I told them I was leaving. They said I would remain their father and that they would miss me,” he said.

In another revelation, Mogale disclosed that he had already made up his mind to leave the club before their match against Nsingizini Hotspurs on Saturday at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium.

He said Mkhize was unhappy with his decision to leave but he had already decided to walk away.

“The president wasn’t happy that I was leaving. Unfortunately, I had already made up my mind even before the Nsingizini match on Saturday at King Sobhuza. I just packed my bags and left on Monday. I am currently in Johannesburg,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mogale had been replaced by his countryman Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala.

During his brief spell in charge, the former Royal AM coach recorded one victory and one draw before suffering back-to-back defeats against Royal Leopard and Nsingizini Hotspurs.

He also guided the Black Bulls to the final of the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup, where they lost 4-2 on penalties at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
