Biggest Braai serves up unity, laughter, lasting memories

The Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre came alive with colour, laughter and the irresistible aroma of braai meat as thousands gathered for the 10th Agape edition of the Eswatini Biggest Braai yesterday.

The day’s festivities officially got underway when Her Majesty Indlovukazi’s representative, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, placed the first pieces of meat onto the braai stand, declaring the braai open. Within moments, braai stands across the venue were ablaze as families, friends, companies and community groups started preparing their own meals.

Soon, the air was filled with the tender smell of sizzling meat, drawing smiles from hungry attendees who eagerly awaited their turn to enjoy one of the country’s biggest social gatherings. Yet beyond the braai itself, it was the spirit of togetherness that truly defined the occasion.

People from different walks of life could be seen mingling freely, exchanging warm greetings, embracing one another and catching up. The event became a meeting place for old friends, former colleagues and families who welcomed the opportunity to reconnect in a relaxed atmosphere.

For many, the Biggest Braai offered a rare chance to step away from the pressures of daily life and the demands of the workplace. Conversations flowed effortlessly as colleagues interacted outside the office environment, sharing jokes and laughter while enjoying the afternoon together.
