A 21-year-old mother from Esibovini, Siteki is appealing to members of the public for assistance as she struggles to provide for her three-month-old triplets after their father allegedly abandoned the family.

Temahlanti Lukhele said she was raising the babies with the help of her unemployed mother, making it difficult to meet their daily needs.

The triplets, who are now three months old, are two girls, Vuyiswa and Vuyisile, and one boy, Vuyani Hadzebe. Lukhele said she is in urgent need of nappies, infant formula and baby clothes as the cost of caring for three infants continues to rise.

She described caring for three babies at once as overwhelming, especially without a stable source of income.

“I am appealing to anyone who can help us with pampers, formula, clothes or anything that can make life easier for my babies. Every little contribution will make a difference,” she said.

Lukhele said becoming a mother to triplets has been both a blessing and a challenge. While she is determined to give her children the best possible care, she said the financial burden has become too heavy to carry alone.

She added that her mother has been her greatest source of support despite being unemployed herself.

She is now calling for anyone who may be able to offer assistance, noting that those willing to assist her and the babies to contact her on 7631 2936.

She expressed hope that the generosity of the public would help ease the burden of raising her children and give them a healthier and more secure start in life.
